Iron County Court House
The beautiful courthouse was built in 1890 and stands like a castle on Superior Avenue overlooking the downtown district. It is described as, "the finest building Northwest of Milwaukee or Detroit".
Downtown Crystal Falls
Downtown Crystal Falls offers an historic view of great historic architecture and businesses. Main street is in full view of the beautiful Court House. Enjoy places to shop and find local entertainment.
History
Crystal Falls was developed from a time of iron mining and exploration of timber. The incredible hills that make the terrain so breath taking extend to the river's edge - the Paint River.
Paint River
The gorgeous Paint River has a name that reflects origin - it is certainly a piece of art. The river is 45 1/2 miles long and is a tributary to the Brule River. It meanders through both Iron County of Gogebic County. The Paint River flows through Crystal Falls, MI and is certainly a great place to fish.
People enjoy limitless reaction and relaxing activities along the river. Fishing offers world class trout fishing. It is one of the best streams for trout in the county. Anglers can expect brook trout and brown trout, along with smallmouth.
Crystal Theatre
The Crystal Theatre is located in downtown Crystal Falls. It offers performing arts - a great choice in a variety of entertainment. The acoustics of this theatre is unmatched and has an extensive history.

Crystal Falls Museum Society - Harbour House
The Crystal Falls Museum Society welcomes you to the beautiful Harbour House Museum. The former Harbour family home was built at the turn of the 20th century and features a unique architectural steamboat style construction. The two story building accommodates wrap-around porches on both levels with a marvelous view of the city. The home is listed on the National Register of Historic Sites as "The Murphy Home."
Iron Co. Historical Museum
The Iron County Historical Museum is located in Caspian, MI and has one of the largest outdoor museum complexes in the Upper Peninsula. This museum is comprised of over 100 exhibits, 2 art galleries and 25 buildings. Guests will enjoy the Carrie Jacobs-Bond House, the St. Mary's Church, the Stager Depot, Pioneer School House — just to name a few.
The museum also hosts a variety of events including History Happy Hours where presenters will bring their topics, story telling, music and more and often answer questions afterwards. During and after, guests can enjoy refreshments (including alcohol).
